The Duchess of Cambridge is becoming a style icon known for her hats - hellomagazine.com

Whether it's the natty little Vivien Sheriff saucer, worn for her first engagement in Anglesey, which cleverly featured buttons from a Royal Welch Fusiliers' uniform or the rather more imposing affair that appeared at the Trooping the Colour ceremony, the Duchess knows how to do titfers.

Of course, genetics are on her side. Tall enough to pull off a larger model, she also has the delicate features to complement more dainty creations.

The Kate Effect

Why, look at the cover of Brides magazine's new August issue! She looks like a certain someone, doesn't she? This is what brides everywhere want, the magazine proves with statistics: Since Kate Middleton got married, 52 percent of brides are more likely to wear a veil because she did. Also, one place in California reports a 200 percent increase in horse and carriage rental inquiries. So if you're the kind of person who thinks listening to people talk about weddings is nauseating, now there might be some sort of statistically significant chance you'll also have to hear them talk about horse and carriage rentals. When Kate has a baby, the Parents magazine version of this story about Kate's effect on baby rearing ought to be spectacular.
