The Prince of Wales is lamenting the loss of 14 years’ restoration work on the garden of his Scottish home after large swathes were washed away by flooding and part that survived was under water.
It emerged that Prince Charles told a butcher in nearby Ballater, when he paid an impromptu visit to the flood-hit Aberdeenshire town last week, that the garden at Birkhall had been “devastated” when a river broke its banks.
He told John Sinclair that this was the “least of his worries” and that he was “more concerned about the people” whose homes and businesses were under water. Click link for full post from The Telegraph.
