The Queen visited the Duke of
Edinburgh at Papworth Hospital this morning following his emergency
heart surgery to treat a blocked coronary artery.
Her
Majesty was flown to Papworth from her Sandringham estate in the royal
helicopter and was then driven to the hospital in a Range Rover.
She was accompanied by the Earl of Wessex, The Princess Royal and the Duke of York as they visited the Duke's bedside. The Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, were seen arriving by car.
