The Duchess, 31, decided to announce the news today after having her 12-week scan, which showed that her unborn baby is in good health.

The due date looks likely to be around mid-July. This could mean she will might miss out on attending Wimbledon, which is believed to be one of her favourite events to attend. Over the past few years she has been seen at the Championships.

The Duchess has attended the two-week event for the past two years, both with her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, and her younger sister Pippa, who attended last year's men's final with her. Click link for full post from The Telegraph @ Kate to miss Wimbledon
