The third-in-line to the throne was in Afghanistan when it was announced the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their first child, and he said he was "thrilled" for the couple and "can't wait to be an uncle", adding: "It's about time."
“Obviously I'm thrilled for both of them,” he said during an interview in Helmand Province which was took place about ten days after the announcement of the Royal pregnancy but can only now be reported.
