Dresses worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, along with outfits worn by other members ofthe Royal Family including the Queen and Princess Margaret are to go on display in a new exhibition.
For a generation, the dresses worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, set fashion trends around the world.
The designers she used became famous, and the styles themselves went from couture to the high street, defining the look of the era.
Now some of the most recognisable are to be displayed for the first time as part of an exhibition that also draws parallels with the dresses worn by the Queen and her sister, Princess Margaret, showing how she was not alone in being a royal fashion leader.
The display, at Kensington Palace in London, will showcase five of Diana’s evening dresses, each one of them the work of a couturier.
