PREVIOUSLY unseen family photographs of the Queen as a child appear in a new book celebrating the birth of her great-grandson Prince George.
The informal pictures, taken by her parents the Duke and Duchess of York - later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth - show Her Majesty between the ages of two and four.
They are from a leather-bound Progress Book chronicling her early years. It records her birth at 17 Bruton Street, Mayfair, London, on April 21, 1926 and the names of her parents and grandparents.
It notes that the baby Princess Elizabeth was 20 inches long at birth, with blue eyes and fair, curly hair.
