SHE'S finally arrived on her annual holiday to Balmoral and Prince Philip is set to join her after months in recovery from an abdominal operation, so it's no wonder the Queen was all smiles earlier today.
Dressed in a baby blue outfit, the monarch looked over the moon to finally be in Scotland, ready to enjoy her break as she inspected the Royal Scots Borderers at the gates to Balmoral, where she will take up her summer residence.
Hundreds of well wishers stood in the crowd, trying to get a glimpse of Her Majesty, who chatted away with Ballater Guard commanding officer Major Jules Kilpatrick as he accompanied her on her inspection.
