Prince William and Kate Receive a New Coat of Arms

Kate Middleton and Prince William have got a new coat of arms.

The new conjugal coat of arms represents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as a married couple and was approved this year by the Queen.

The design features the Duke's shield on the left, which is the version of the royal coat of arms granted to him by the Queen on his 18th birthday.

Brooches, usually worn on the left shoulder, were a favourite for the royal and the Queen was believed to have over 100 in her collection.
