Pippa Middleton Visits Cirque du Soleil

Last week I found myself hanging out – quite literally upside down and inside out at times – backstage with the artists and acrobats of Cirque du Soleil, the Canadian company which, from humble street beginnings, now lays claim to being the world’s biggest theatrical producer.

The troupe was in Newcastle rehearsing for a performance of Alegría at the Metro Radio Arena.

It is almost 20 years since Cirque’s most popular touring show premiered in Montreal (in 1994) but in that time it has wowed more than 10 million people in 65 countries.

I’m a long-time fan of Cirque and have sat enthralled through three of their productions: Alegría, of course, Varekai and Kooza. Click link for full post from PIPPA!
