THE Queen's youngest granddaughter Lady Louise Windsor is celebrating after undergoing a successful operation that means she can now see normally for the first time in her life.

Lady Louise, the 10-year-old daughter of Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, underwent surgery before Christmas to correct exotropia, a condition in which the eyes turn outwards.

She was born with the condition after a difficult premature birth in November 2003 and first had surgery when she was about two years old to correct the condition, which causes a squint and can lead to double vision and other effects.
