THE ROYAL family today led remembrance-themed events around London. The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duke of Cambridge today attended the opening and dedication of the Flanders Fields Memorial Garden inentral London.
The garden has been created with soil from the 70 battlefields and Commonwealth War Grave Cemeteries in Flanders.
A bag of earth from each battlefield was handed to British officials on Armistice Day last year in Ypres, overseen by the Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Laurent of Belgium. Click link for full post from EXPRESS.
