William and Kate Return Home After Successful Trip to New York City

THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge flew home yesterday after taking New York by storm on a milestone three-day visit.

The royal couple concluded their first taste of the Big Apple by attending a glamorous dinner at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a fundraiser for their alma mater, St Andrews University, to mark its 600th anniversary.W

With all eyes on her outfit, Kate, who is five months pregnant with their second child, sprang a major surprise by reaching into her wardrobe and pulling out something she had worn twice before on official engagements - a stunning £3,145 petrol blue Jenny Packham gown which she also sported in October 2013 and February 2014 - for her last official duty on US soil. Brooches, usually worn on the left shoulder, were a favourite for the royal and the Queen was believed to have over 100 in her collection. A selection that would go with an outfit were presented to her - usually three at a time - by her senior dresser and confidante Angela Kelly on special trays that once belonged to Queen Mary.
