A REMARKABLE collection of historic royal memorabilia spanning nearly 200 years is set to fetch tens of thousands of pounds at auction next week.
A testament to the passion of collector Jim Hanson, it tells the story of the Royal Family in sepia photographs, letters, telegrams, elaborate menus and other colourful mementos.
The extraordinary collection, to be sold by auctioneers Reeman Dansie in Colchester, Essex, on February 17, includes a stunning photograph of Princess Diana, the menu from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding breakfast, and a rare signed photograph of Queen Victoria alongside three future Kings.
