The Duke of Cambridge began work today as a trainee helicopter pilot with the company that operates the East Anglian Air Ambulance service.
William, a former RAF search and rescue helicopter pilot, is to undergo flight training over the next few months and is expected to begin flying rescue missions in the summer.
The second in line to the throne, who is about to become a father for a second time, became an employee of Bond Air Services, a firm which runs a number of air ambulance and police aviation operations in the UK.
