The Prince of Wales has urged people on both sides of the religious divide not to become “prisoners of history” at the end of his historic four-day visit to Northern Ireland and the Republic.
“We have all suffered too much,” he said, in another deeply personal speech. “From our shared wounds and scars, we can, I hope, I pray, share healing, and a friendship made all the stronger for the trials it has overcome.”
The Prince was speaking at the Corrymeela Centre, Northern Ireland’s oldest peace and reconciliation charity, at the conclusion of a trip in which he has won widespread praise for confronting demons of the past. Click link for full post from The Telegraph.
