The Queen wore cerise ash to the first day of Royal Ascot
THE Queen is due to pay tribute to the greatest flat racehorse of all time when she unveils a statue at Royal Ascot today.
Her Majesty will officially revealed the sculpture of the Sir Henry Cecil-trained Frankel after the Queen Anne Stakes, the first race of this year's Royal Ascot meeting.
Dressed in cerise ash she arrived at the famous racecourse today, she is set to unveil the bronze statue by sculptor Mark Coreth.
Frankel, who retired to stud undefeated in 14 races in 2012, ran at the Berkshire venue five times, and won at the Royal meeting twice. Click link for full post from EXPRESS.
