The fifth in line to the throne, celebrating his 31st birthday and sporting a beard and tan from his summer trip to Africa, was due to fly in a two-seater Spitfire as part of the biggest gathering of Battle of Britain aircraft since the Second World War to mark the 75th anniversary of the pivotal aerial conflict.
Some 40 Spitfires, Hurricanes and Bristol Blenheim bombers were due to fly in formation from Goodwood Aerodrome in West Sussex before dispersing across wartime airfields over the south of England.
The flypast, originally planned for noon, had to be delayed by two hours because of high winds and wet weather making take off and landing dangerous.
On Monday night Harry attended a dinner for the Battle of Britain Memorial Flypast and Endeavour Fund Spitfire Scholarship at Goodwood House.Click link for full post from EXPRESS.
