Prince William Speaks About Losing His Mother, Princess Diana

William spoke about his mother at the 21st anniversary for the charity she helped found

The Duke of Cambridge, who was 15 when Diana was killed in a Paris car crash, said grief was the most painful experience that any child or parent could endure.

He spoke movingly during an address to 270 guests at the 21st birthday party and concert for the charity Child Bereavement UK at the Banqueting House in London.

The charity, founded as The Child Bereavement Trust by Jenni Thomas with founder patron Julia Samuel in the presence of Diana, supports families when a child dies or faces bereavement.

It trains 7,000 professionals a year to help meet the needs of families.
