The Queen's Christmas Speech, 2015
Caption: The Queen delivering her speech
THE Queen described the joy of family life and watching her great grandchildren help decorate her Christmas tree in a seasonal message of love and hope to the nation and Commonwealth today.
Surrounded by photographs of her loved ones in the 18th Century Room at Buckingham Palace with a decorated fireplace and Christmas tree in the background, she took pride in the birth of her fifth great grandchild Princess Charlotte, now seven months old.
The 89-year-old monarch also made a light-hearted reference to her approaching 90th birthday in April, acknowledging that national celebrations might mean she has to listen to Happy Birthday more than once.
After a year dominated by headlines of war, terror attacks, and those fleeing conflict, she acknowledged that the world has faced moments of darkness in the past 12 months. Click link for full post from EXPRESS.
