The Duchess of Cornwall was on the verge of tears after talking to the mother of murder victim Joanna Brown at a charity for victims of domestic abuse.
The Duchess described Diana Parkes, whose daughter was battered to death by her estranged husband Robert Brown, as an “incredibly brave lady” as she pledged to do “anything I can” to help raise the issue of violence in the home.
The women met at SafeLives, a national charity that works to safeguard people from harm by partners or family members, at its headquarters in London.
Mrs Parkes was also in tears as she spoke to the Duchess about her daughter, whose estranged husband had told her he dreamt about killing their children with an axe. Click link for full post from The Telegraph.
