For most busy mothers, dressing down means throwing on a baggy old sweatshirt and a pair of shapeless tracksuit bottoms.
But for the
Duchess of Cambridge
, it seems, dressing down means pushing up a few price tags.
And as if to prove her doubters wrong – she has been criticised lately for her conservative taste in clothes during
Royal engagements
– Kate nailed the casual look while out on a shopping trip in King’s Road, Chelsea, as our exclusive picture shows.
On top, she wore a £1,250
leather and suede gilet
by designer Alice Temperley over a £395 black honeycomb rollneck jumper by the same designer.
But for the bottom half, Kate looked more park than Palace, with a pair of basic
grey leggings
revealing sculpted thighs – Kate’s a lady who lunges rather than lunches – and a pair of
£75 Asics
running trainers.
