William and Kate Begin Their Tour of India in Mumbai

The Duchess of Cambridge looked to the East for style inspiration as she packed her bags for her official tour of India and Bhutan with Prince William.

Kate has paid homage to her hosts by flying the flag for British fashion while also showcasing Indian themes, designs by labels who can expect to see their dresses fly off the shelves, thanks to the much-heralded 'Kate effect'.

Already fashion-watchers are giving her look the thumbs-up.

Stylist Simon Glazin told MailOnline: 'The Duchess should go touring more often. Her India wardrobe, even though it's only been a couple of days, is far better than anything she wears in the UK.

'She's fallen into a recycling rut over here, wearing the same dresses and colours over and over again. 'But when she stepped out in the Saloni dress, we all did a collective air hand punch.'

Speaking about the Duchess's outfits for her day in Mumbai, Glazin added: 'The red printed Alexander McQueen dress was an absolutely brilliant choice by her stylist.

She loves the British House, and this print is a nod to India.'  Click link for full post from The Daily Mail.
