The Queen looked resplendent in purple this morning as she touched down in Edinburgh for a Sunday church service.
Her Majesty was paying a special visit to Canongate Kirk, the same church where her granddaughter Zara tied the knot with Mike Tindall in 2011, as part of her 'Holyrood Week' trip.
She paired a double-breasted lavender coat dress - an old favourite - with a matching hat featuring an elaborate bow, making sure to wrap up against the unseasonable summer chill with a pair of leather gloves.
Yesterday the Queen spent her second day in Edinburgh with her husband Prince Philip where she spoke at the fifth opening ceremony of Scotland's devolved parliament at Holyrood.
The Queen made no mention of last week's vote by Britain to leave the EU, a result that prompted dismay in Scotland and sparked calls for another independence referendum. Click link for full post from The Daily Mail.
