THE Queen enjoyed one of her favourite pastimes today as she visited Musselburgh Racecourse to mark its 200th anniversary.

Along with the Duke of Edinburgh, the Queen unveiled a sculpture to mark the anniversary before taking her seat in the stand to watch the races.

The Royal couple last visited the course near Edinburgh in 1995 when the Queen opened a stand named after her.

Racecourse chief executive Bill Farnsworth said: "We are thrilled and honoured to host Her Majesty and Prince Philip in a double celebration of her landmark 90th birthday and the 200th year since racing was established at Musselburgh.
