Queen Visits Musselburgh Racecourse to Mark its 200th Anniversary

THE Queen enjoyed one of her favourite pastimes today as she visited Musselburgh Racecourse to mark its 200th anniversary.
Along with the Duke of Edinburgh, the Queen unveiled a sculpture to mark the anniversary before taking her seat in the stand to watch the races.
The Royal couple last visited the course near Edinburgh in 1995 when the Queen opened a stand named after her.

chief executive Bill Farnsworth said: "We are thrilled and honoured to host Her Majesty and Prince Philip in a double celebration of her landmark
90th birthday
and the 200th year since racing was established at Musselburgh.
