The Queen is Expected to Host Team GB At Buckingham Palace in the Fall

THE Queen is expected to honour Britain’s Olympic heroes with a Buckingham Palace reception attended by senior members of the Royal Family after Team GB exceeded all expectations in Rio.

Palace officials are to discuss hosting an event, likely to be held in October, for the returning athletes.

Prime Minister Theresa May announced last night that October will also see a parade in Manchester and an event in London to allow the public to celebrate.

Many of the gold medallists are also expected to return to Buckingham Palace next year to receive awards in the New Year’s Honours List. Click link for full post from EXPRESS.
