In the tranquil setting of a memorial garden at the Met's training centre in Hendon, north London, the Prince and London Mayor Sadiq Khan stood shoulder to shoulder with relatives laying wreaths and floral tributes at the annual ceremony.

Harry, who planted a cherry tree in the garden to mark his visit, spent time talking to some of the families as they laid their flowers.

Among them was retired chief superintendent Sid MacKay, father of PC Nina MacKay, 25, who was stabbed to death in October 1997 while trying to place a paranoid schizophrenic under arrest in Stratford, east London. Click link for full post from The Daily Mail.
