Middleton looked sombre as she attended the Remembrance Day Service today The 34-year-old joined the Duchess of Cornwall and Countess of Wessex to watch the service from the balcony of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Kate
had earlier this year described herself as “emotional” upon visiting a memorial to the 480,000 British soldiers who lost their lives during the battle of the Somme.One of those fallen heroes was the Duchess’s great, great uncle, Lionel Martineau Lupton, who, in a striking coincidence, fought alongside Princess Diana’s grandfather in the bloody battle 100 years ago.
