THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to send Prince George to £5,653 per term pre-prep school Thomas’s Battersea in September. William and Kate sprung a major surprise today by announcing that their son would not be attended Wetherby, the pre-prep school in west London attended by the Duke of Cambridge and his brother Prince Harry.
A key difference between Thomas’s and Wetherby is that the royal couple’s choice for their son is co-educational, whereas Wetherby caters only for boys.
Kensington Palace said in a statement: “Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to have found a school where they are confident George will have a happy and successful start to his education.” Ben Thomas, headmaster at Thomas's Battersea, said: "We are honoured and delighted that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen Thomas's Battersea for Prince George.
