Prince William and Kate will Visit Sweden and Norway at the end of January as part of The Brexit Charm Offensive
KATE, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William will visit Scandinavian countries, Sweden and Norway, at the end of this month, where they hope to drum up support for the UK as Brexit talks continue.
The Royal couple will start their four-day charm offensive at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and officials hope their popularity abroad will strengthen Britain’s hand in negotiations.
As Britain prepares to leave the EU, the royal family have frequently and repeatedly visited Europe. Richard Fitzwilliams, royal expert, told Express.co.uk: “This is part of the royal family’s goodwill trips to European countries after the Brexit vote.
“These trips are a skillful exercise in soft power.
This is the first time Kate and Prince William, who are expecting their third child in April, will visit Sweden and Norway, where they will be hosted by the local royal families.
The Scandinavian tour will take place between January and February 2.
