Prince William and Duchess Kate Hire New Top Aide Simon Case to Start new Job At Kensington Palace in July

Caption: Prince William and Kate ready for Brexit onslaught as their top aide replaced by DexEU chief Simon Case, the director general Northern Ireland and Ireland in DexEU, who will step into the top Kensington Palace role after Mr Head announced he was leaving the post after almost a decade in the role. 

Mr Case will become William’s most senior royal aide in July and will be responsible for the Prince’s work which among other things has become increasingly focused on undertaking a "charm offensive" with Kate on behalf of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as Brexit negotiations are underway. 

Last year the William and Kate visited Sweden, Norway, Poland and France as a form of “soft diplomacy” following the triggering of Article 50 in March 2017.

A spokesman for the Duke today said: “His Royal Highness feels incredibly lucky to have benefited from Miguel’s advice and support over the last decade.
