Prince William and Kate anniversary: The royal couple celebrate their seventh anniversary today William and Kate's 2011 royal wedding 

When Prince William and Kate married on April 29, 2011 the world watched on, as the beloved royal couple joined in matrimony.

The ceremony was watched by people on all corners of the planet and the Metropolitan Police estimated around one million people turned out on the streets of London to celebrate and witness the royal wedding parade.

Royal fever pitch was at an all time high and the feel-good factor was in full force across the UK - the day was an official public holiday so it could be properly celebrated.

Guests started arriving at around 8am for an 11am start, nearly 2,000 guests were invited to watch the ceremony inside Westminster Abbey, including celebrities, Elton John, David and Victoria Beckham, politicians and foreign dignitaries.
