In 2011, Kate was pictured wearing a dress by the British designer Reiss, she crashed their website.
David Reiss, Founder and Managing Director of Reiss said: “The surge in web traffic following the release of these images of her wearing the dress caused our website to crash. “There is no question that Kate chasing to wear Reiss has impacted our brand.”
On a trip to the Warner Bros Studios in March 2013 the Duchess wore a £38 polka dot dress from Topshop which was then out of stock within an hour of her being photographed. Online clothes website, katescloset.com.au, which is dedicated to clothing worn by the Duchess described the top as “a good choice for this light-hearted event.”
