Prince George may have been photographed in his finery for his new birthday photo, captured on the same day his youngest sibling, Prince Louis, was christened last month, but his smile, ruffled hair - and the urban-looking backdrop - could be straight off the cover of an album sleeve.
The five-year-old, with his trademark cheeky smile, is seen relaxing against a wall in the back garden of Clarence House, the home of his grandfather Prince Charles, in the celebratory snap but the blackened bricks behind him are a far cry from the ornate interiors used for Prince Louis' official family christening photos.
The charming image shows the confident youngster wearing the same outfit he wore to his little brother's baptism hours earlier...but the decision to place the schoolboy in front of brickwork, which is dark and cracked in places, has been branded 'cool' by royal fans on Twitter.
