The Royal Family might seem far removed from its lowly subjects - carrying out Royal duties and observing specific customs and traditions - but one thing draws the Royals closer to the public: adorable nicknames.
Prince Harry calls his new wife Meghan Markle, 37, “Meg” and the Duchess of Sussex and her friends reportedly refer to the 33-year-old prince as “Haz”.
Meanwhile, Prince William calls his wife the Duchess of Cambridge, 36, “Babe”.
But none of these nicknames got the world talking this week.Rather, it was Prince Harry’s nickname for his sister-in-law Kate, “Cath”, which derives from her full name: Catherine, according to OK magazine.
Quizzed on the nickname by radio presenter Scott Mills, Kate said: “I’m not sure, I’m not that familiar with it.
