The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were welcomed by hundreds of excited well-wishers today as they visited a remote settlement of Pakistan and learned about the culture of the Kalash people on their royal tour today.
Prince William and Kate flew by helicopter 250 miles north of Islamabad to Bumburet in the Chitral region of the Hindu Kush mountains as they also watched emergency response drills in the village, which saw extensive damage from flooding four years ago.
During their visit near the border with Afghanistan, they spoke with Diana - a young woman from the local area who was named after William's mother the Princess of Wales - whose grandmother travelled to Chitral to meet the princess on her visit in 1991.Read more from The Daily Mail.
