The Princess of Wales marks Mothers' Day.

The Princess of Wales went without her wedding rings in a new photo where she opted for a pared down look to to mark Mothers' Day.

Kate Middleton, 42, opted for a low-key look in the snap taken by her husband Prince William showing her cuddled up to her children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, Prince Louis, five.

Brooches, usually worn on the left shoulder, were a favourite for the royal and the Queen was believed to have over 100 in her collection. A selection that would go with an outfit were presented to her - usually three at a time - by her senior dresser and confidante Angela Kelly on special trays that once belonged to Queen Mary.
