Princess Kate Says Thank You to Royal Marsden Staff as She Announces She is in "Remission" from Cancer

 

The Princess of Wales has said 'it is a relief to now be in remission' from cancer and that she is 'looking forward to a fulfilling year'. 

In a message on social media, signed 'C', Catherine thanked staff at the Royal Marsden Hospital for her 'exceptional' care.

The Princess of Wales accepted bouquets of flowers from well-wishers as she greeted the crowds outside St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham today. 

Kate, 42, was a sight to behold as she walked alongside Prince William, their children Prince Louis, six, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince George, 11, as well as King Charles and Queen Camilla at their Sandringham estate in Norfolk on Wednesday morning.  Read more from The Daily Mail.

The Princess of Wales today arrived at Westminster Abbey to lead her family at her Christmas carol concert after the most difficult year of her life.

This time last year Kate, 42, was focusing on her work and children, and looking forward to the festive season with little inclination of what was to come.

Kate and her husband Prince William found their lives turned upside down.

Now, having completed her treatment, the royal is beginning to return to public duties and will hold her fourth ‘Together At Christmas’ carol service at historic Westminster Abbey, which will be televised by ITV on Christmas Eve.

The princess, who has been ‘hands on’ over every aspect of the service and held regular planning meetings at Windsor, arrived on her own at 4pm to view the abbey and oversee last minute arrangements.

Kate put on an elegant display in an Alexander McQueen red coat, featuring a statement black bow, which she teamed with her black Ralph Lauren boots for the occasion.Read more from The Daily Mail.

Princess of Wales returns to official duties after cancer treatment as she joins Prince William in ceremonial welcome for Emir of Qatar's state visit

The Princess of Wales joined the royals to welcome the Emir of Qatar today as she attended her most significant public engagement since starting cancer treatment.

Kate and her husband Prince William greeted Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the first of his three wives, Sheikha Jawaher, on behalf of King Charles III in London.

She then travelled from the Emir's private residence to the ceremonial welcome on Horse Guards Parade. The women travelled in one chauffeur-driven car while the men travelled in another and the waiting King warmly greeted his guests on a dais.Read more from The Daily Mail.

Prince William Admits this Year has been the Hardest of his Life

The Prince of Wales has said this year has been “brutal” and the hardest of his life.

The 42-year-old spoke with remarkable candour about the personal impact of 2024, during which both his wife, the Princess of Wales, and his father, the King, were diagnosed with cancer.

As he prepared to head home after a four-day visit to Cape Town where he presided over a major event for his green conservation Earthshot project, he also admitted that he did not enjoy the responsibility that came with being the heir to the throne.

And discussing his family, the Prince admitted that his daughter, Princess Charlotte, nine, initially hated his new beard so much that she burst into floods of tears, prompting him to shave it off before convincing her it would be OK.

Asked how the past year had been for him personally, the Prince said: “Honestly? It’s been dreadful. It’s probably been the hardest year in my life.

The Princess of Wales today lead the nation alongside the King and the Prince of Wales in remembering Britain's war dead on Remembrance Sunday.

Charles and William were among those in the capital taking part in a two-minute silence at 11am to honour those who died in conflict, with similar events taking place nationwide - as hundreds of emotional veterans this morning gathered at the Cenotaph.

The Princess of Wales has made an emotional pilgrimage with her husband to Southport to comfort the families of the three girls who lost their lives in July's knife attack tragedy.

In her most significant public engagement to date this year, Catherine, 42, joined Prince William to meet with the families of Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine.
