Mandrake hears that Prince William is considering leaving the RAF next year to return to the Household Cavalry, from which he is on secondment, so that he can take on more royal duties.The Duke will decide by the end of this month whether to sign up for four more years with the RAF, in which he serves as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot in North Wales. The role involves a strict flying rota, which would make taking on more royal duties very difficult.
