Vera Bradley Designs, Inc.THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today paid their respects to victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks as they visited a memorial in New York.

The royal couple travelled to the Manhattan site of the former World Trade Centre, which was devastated by the 2001 al-Qaeda attacks.

The Prince held an umbrella over his pregnant wife as they were shown the memorial on the last day of their whirlwind three-day US tour. Kate was well wrapped up against the elements in a pink Mulberry coat and a dress by Seraphine.

The weather was typically wintery, with strong wings and heavy rain lashing the royal party as they laid a bouquets of white roses - the state flower of New York - at the memorial.

The 9/11 Memorial complex features two enormous waterfalls and reflecting pools surrounded by trees and is set within the footprints of the original Twin Towers. Click link for full post from EXPRESS.
