BRITAIN's best known Women's Institute members, the Calendar Girls, were feted by the Duchess of Cornwall today at a Buckingham Palace
garden party
celebrating the organisation's centenary.

The women of Rylstone and District WI in North Yorkshire famously appeared nude with their modesty preserved by discreetly placed props in a charity calendar that inspired countless imitations and raised millions of pounds for research into leukaemia and lymphoma research.
Their story was immortalised in the
hit movie Calendar Girls
starring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters and now singer Gary Barlow is working on a musical based on their experiences.
They all kept their clothes on in the palace's 39-acre
garden
today, however, as they joined 8,000 WI members, at least one from every branch in the country, at the
afternoon tea
hosted by Camilla, who was joined by three other royal ladies: the Countess of Wessex, the Duchess of Gloucester, and the Queen's cousin Princess Alexandra.
