Queen is Alive and Well Despite BBC Reporter Tweeting (in Error) She Had Died

Buckingham Palace has been forced to deny that Queen Elizabeth has died after a rogue tweet from a BBC reporter sent royal fans into meltdown.

Royal fans were sent into a state of panic earlier today when a tweet from the account of BBC reporter Ahmen Khawaja stated that the "Queen Elizabrth [sic] has died".

Another tweet sent from the same Twitter handle claimed that the Queen was being "treated" at the King Edward VII’s Hospital in Marylebone, London

Furious Buckingham Palace officials took the cock-up so seriously that officials took the unusual step of confirming that Queen Elizabeth was alive and well.

They added that by co-incidence the Queen WAS at the private medical centre - but only for a routine check-up.
