The Queen Opens the Welsh National Assembly

THE Queen was accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh this morning as she opened the Welsh National Assembly at the Senedd.

The Queen hailed the opening of the Fifth Session as "a further significant development” in the history of Welsh devolution.

In a speech given to the Siambr, the Assembly’s debating chamber she said she follow its "progress with keen interest".

And she hailed its reputation as a "strong, accessible and forward-looking legislature, serving all the diverse communities of Wales".  Click link for full post from EXPRESS.
