Visit Clarence House Where the Queen Mother Lived For Over 50 Years


Caption: Visitors will have a chance to see how the Mother Queen lived 

ARTWORKS and furnishings chosen by the Queen Mother to decorate her former home Clarence House are going on show to the public in a new tour.

Although it is now the official London residence of the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall the look of the rooms which are being opened for general view are much as they were during his grandmother's day.

For almost 50 years until her death in 2002, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother lived at the central London mansion.

It was built in the 1820s using designs by celebrated architect John Nash for George III's third son, the Duke of Clarence.  Click link for full post from EXPRESS.
