Kate Middleton is well-known for dressing diplomatically during public appearances and decidedly wears clothes by local designers on overseas tours, while still supporting British fashion.Celebrity stylist Rochelle White told Femail that it makes Kate seem relatable. ‘It shows that she hasn’t forgotten who she is as a person, her home country and what she likes.
She is keen to show her love for British fashion but also combines it with designers that she has properly worn for a while.’
In 2016, the Duchess seemed to favour designer brands despite being commended for her thriftiness and recycling outfits.

The printed Anita Dongre number Kate wore for a cricket game during her visit to India and Bhutan in April was such a success that the factory had to shift production of all other models in order to exclusively produce the dress and meet the demand the Duchess had inspired.
