Period.” told The Bump: “Like any successful old wives’ tale about pregnancy, determining the baby’s gender based on how the mom is carrying probably came from a great-great-grandmother and was passed down the family tree.

Prince William and Duchess Kate Hire New Top Aide Simon Case to Start new Job At Kensington Palace in July

Caption: Prince William and Kate ready for Brexit onslaught as their top aide replaced by DexEU chief Simon Case, the director general Northern Ireland and Ireland in DexEU, who will step into the top Kensington Palace role after Mr Head announced he was leaving the post after almost a decade in the role. 

Mr Case will become William’s most senior royal aide in July and will be responsible for the Prince’s work which among other things has become increasingly focused on undertaking a "charm offensive" with Kate on behalf of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as Brexit negotiations are underway. 

Last year the William and Kate visited Sweden, Norway, Poland and France as a form of “soft diplomacy” following the triggering of Article 50 in March 2017.

HRH Duchess Kate Becomes First Royal Patron of the Victoria and Albert Museum

Caption: Kate has become patron of the V&A Museum.  THE Duchess of Cambridge may be on maternity leave but today Kensington Palace announced she will become the first royal patron of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, just weeks before she gives birth to her third child. 

Kate, who studied for a degree in History of Art at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, has never hidden her love for visual arts and design and passion for photography.

Announcing the Duchess’ new role on Twitter, Kensington Palace wrote: “The Duchess of Cambridge is to become the first Royal Patron of the Victoria and Albert Museum.

“Furthering Her Royal Highness's interest in the visual arts, photography and design, she formally takes up the @V_and_A Patronage from today.”

Her appointment comes after she attended the V&A in June 2017 to officially open the museum's new entrance, courtyard and exhibition gallery on Exhibition Road, in the heart of London.

Harry and Meghan Visit Belfast as part of their Pre-Wedding Tour of Britain

Meghan smiled and waved as the royal couple left the Catalyst Inc centre before continuing their trip around Northern Ireland

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a surprise trip to Northern Ireland as part of their pre-wedding tour of Britain.

Belfast crowds were given the shock of their lives as the pair arrived unannounced in the city, before going on a walkabout in the city centre, visiting the iconic Crown Liquor Saloon, a science park and Titanic Belfast museum.

 During a visit to the Catalyst Inc science park, Meghan, 33, made it quite clear she and Harry, 36, are already planning their first child. Gesturing towards an innovative baby bath made by a Northern Irish firm she quipped : 'I am sure at one point we will need the whole thing.'

The royal trip, the couple's first official joint one to Northern Ireland, also saw them learn the history of the doomed Titanic, visiting a Belfast visitor attraction telling the passenger ship's story.

HRH Duchess Kate Goes on Maternity Leave as She Performs Last Official Royal Engagement Before Royal Baby 3 Arrives

William and his wife began their day at the Olympic Park's Copper Box arena in Stratford, East London for an event staged by SportsAid, a national charity helping the next generation of Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth champions.

Inside the 7,000-seat arena, which hosted handball and modern pentathlon fencing during the London 2012 Olympics, the royal couple met wheelchair basketball players led by television presenter Ade Adepitan, who won bronze at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens.

He encouraged William to have a go and helped advise him on how to get the best performance out of the wheelchair, while SportsAid's chief executive Tim Lawler told the Prince how difficult he had found the sport playing in a charity tournament for the past three years. Read More From The Daily Mail.

St Luke’s hosts a 'Big Lunch' every year as part of the Eden Project's Big Lunch initiative.

The Big Lunch aims to encourage as many people as possible to have lunch with members of their community once a year to share food and encourage friendship.

Commonwealth Big Lunches are part of the official celebrations leading up to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and are taking place from Commonwealth Day on 12th March until 22nd April.

Michael Ryan, St Luke’s Chief Executive Officer said: ‘We’re thrilled that Their Royal Highnesses are helping St Luke’s with our Commonwealth Big Lunch.

St Luke’s provides services and activities for locals at the heart of its community and has a fully-equipped Cookery School, which runs community classes on healthy, home cooking and avoiding food waste.

As they arrived Kate was presented with a pretty spring bouquet by Rhea Richards, four, from the St Luke’s Nursery. ‘How old are you?’ she asked. ‘Four? Wow. George is four. HRH Duchess Kate, Pregnant, with Two Kids, Has Had the Busiest Year of Official Royal Engagements

KATE MIDDLETON has had her busiest start to a year in completing 38 official engagements during the first two months - despite expecting her third child at the end of next month. HRH Duchess Kate  attended the Irish Guards St Patrick's Day Parade at Cavalry Barracks on Saturday. 

Royal expert Grant Harold, who runs the website The Royal Butler, told the MailOnline: “If one year has a higher number of engagements compared to another, this will be down to what the royal has agreed to do and is happy to carry out.

“The Duchess will of course be having some family time once she has a third child and it is unlikely that she will be seen for a few months after the birth of the next royal baby.

“It is most likely that she will be trying to fit in as many engagements as possible before the due date, and make up for the time she was unwell and unable to attend some of her previous events.”

Mr Harold said the Duchess’s increased workload might be a show of support for Meghan Markle on how to carry out royal duties.

Betraying no awareness of the biting temperature, the Duchess smiled and chatted to each of the military men in turn, finally fastening a shamrock to the collar of Domhnall the wolfound - the regiment's longest serving mascot.

Royal Baby News: Duchess Kate and Zara are Out and About as Their Due Date Nears

The event is a favourite with the couple and champion horsewoman Zara, who has competed in the polo in previous years.

Prince George Still Wants to be a Policeman

Prince George could have future in the police William hints but remains silent on Princess Charlotte PRINCE William met with winners of the Metropolitan Police Excellence Awards today and during the event, the devoted father revealed a rare insight into the career aspirations of the Royal Family’s youngsters.

Jayne Richardson, a youth engagement officer with the Met Police, joked to William that his children could one day join the cadets.

The Duke of Cambridge appeared to like the suggestion, as he replied four-year-old Prince George “does like the police”.

Although his two-year-old daughter Charlotte apparently might not be so keen on the career path, as William noticeably did not comment on whether the Princess likes the police.

After the event, Ms Richardson who works in the Kensington and Chelsea branch of the Met Police said: "We're only based just down the road in Kensington and I said to him 'Perhaps Prince George and Princess Charlotte could join the police cadets'.

"And he said 'Well he does like the police at the moment'."

Meghan Markle Has Mother's Day Lunch With the Queen at Windsor Castle

The 91-year-old monarch has been making a point of setting aside time to spend with Meghan, 36, who is due to wed Prince Harry on May 19.

Last Sunday’s meal together was said to have come a day before Meghan made her first public appearance with the Queen at the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey.

Buckingham and Kensington Palaces declined to discuss the lunch, which was reported by

America’s ABC News, but it is understood the Queen was at Windsor on Sunday. Over the weekend she hosted a traditional cocktail party following the Grand Military Gold Cup horse race.

HRH Duchess Kate spoke with Judy Murray, Tim Henman and representatives from British Tennis and Wimbledon Despite being around eight months pregnant the dedicated Duchess of Cambridge has kept her royal schedule busy as she held another engagement today.

Kate, who yesterday attended the Commonwealth Day service in Westminster Abbey, met with representatives from British Tennis and the Coach Core initiative as well as Mrs Murray and former British number one Mr Henman.

Coach Core is a programme run by the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry for young people from communities who do not have access to traditional sports coaching opportunities.

Today's service was Meghan's first official event with the Queen, sealing her place in the royal family, so it was no wonder she wanted to get her fashion choices spot on.

The exercise is part of a course devised to ensure Meghan is prepared for all possible emergencies as a member of the Royal Family.

Harry accompanied her to training. The “kidnap and rescue” part of the course has been described by a former SAS officer as “devised to frighten the life out of anyone”.

He adds: “Even though Meghan will have known the enemy was not real, I guarantee that she will have been petrified.

That’s why live ammo is used, so she knows what real gunfire sounds like should, God forbid, she ever be in a hostile situation.”

Nearly every senior royal, apart from the Queen, has been on similar courses, although the Duchess of Cambridge did not do it until after her wedding to William.
