PRINCE George and Princess Charlotte are enjoying a healthy, happy time like any other regular boy or girl.
But when will they be expected to bow down to their famous grandmother, the Queen, and follow the royal family's strict protocol?
Prince George, five and Princess Charlotte, three, refer to the Queen as "gan-gan" as they discover the joys of life.
But George, the third-in-line to the throne who recently celebrated his fifth birthday, will be expected to bow to the Queen this year.
Upon seeing the monarch, members of the royal family are expected to bow once when she arrives and again when she leaves.
Royal historian Marlene Eilers Koenig told Hello! magazine: "Certainly by age five. The only person they will curtsy or bow to is the sovereign.
