THE Duke of Edinburgh watched a group of dancing pensioners entertain the
Queen today and wondered why they did it: "It looks exhausting," he said.
At 92, Prince Philip is fitter than most his age but he was clearly impressed by the energetic performance of a community group of over 60s dancers called the
Mercury Movers when he and the 87-year-old
monarch visited the new home of the leading contemporary dance company Rambert.

"The
Duke asked us why we do it as it looked exhausting. He also asked how did we know when to stop, perhaps when we dropped," said
Lynda How, 66, a retired secondary school
teacher who is part of the
dance troupe.
"I danced when I was younger at social
events and still love it, it's incredible fun, keeps you fit and it's social."
